Carter Brown

Carter Brown is the Founder and Executive Director of Black Transmen, Inc., the first national, non-profit, Black trans led organization. Brown's active leadership has greatly impacted the empowerment of the Black Trans community through social advocacy, positive visibility, and building strong leadership. Currently, Brown actively leads a host of over 40 board, staff and volunteer members of the organization, and continues to multiply the presence of the organization; having built over 9 state chapters throughout the U.S. His work, along with those of Black Transmen, Inc. and its subsidiaries, is based in peace building, community education, public policy initiatives, empowerment programs and direct services. Black Trans Advocacy works with communities in the U.S. and across the globe to foster diversity, inclusion and equality for all people. Through his paramount leadership in the movement for Black Trans equality, Brown has pioneered others by example to “Become The Change You Want To See In The World”.

BTAC Community Empowerment

Description: BTAC Community Empowerment invites a calling to hear the voices, and concerns of the Kansas Trans communities. This forum discussion welcomes all friends and allies to join in on the discussion with intent to help create action plans that will eradicate phobias and violence inflicted on Black Trans Kansans that hinder equal opportunities and quality of life.
